The Holding Pond of KK is one of the many Holding Ponds in Navi Mumbai, which were designed during the formative years of this satellite city in 1980’s. These holding ponds act as a buffer between the storm water drain and the creek, i.e. holding the storm water during rains and release it after the high tide recedes, which eventually avoids flooding in Navi Mumbai. Although the initial DP includes development of these promenade spaces, for public walkways, & use.At this point of time we are proposing to develop a public open space / promenade with walkways, gardens, setaing, etc. We are discussing the Proposal with the NMMC Municipal Comissioner & City Engineer along with the Local MLA. Being a resident of the place over 10 years, we are discussing the Proposal with the Local Residents also.
