This is a school for about 200 rural children, built on an isolated hillside in Igatpuri.
Its form has been fragmented to diminish the impact of the buildings on the surrounding landscape, and also to make it blend into the surrounding villages.
Built in local stone with Mangalore tile roofing, It has extensive views over the surroundings. Spread over 2 phases, it has 10 classrooms, two vocational rooms, a computer lab, a dining hall, a library, and administrative offices.
Experiments in rammed earth were also conducted.
